Hello! 

I'm Jess, a pharmaceutical chemistry graduate turned full-time artist and founder of Jess Keeli Academy.

My journey into art wasn't traditional; art was not my favourite subject at school, and instead, I pursued the sciences. However, outside of school, I liked to get creative, finding painting to be a mindful and relaxing activity that provided valuable 'me time'. I became fascinated with watercolour paints and the way they moved on the page, and so started my watercolour journey.

 Through self-teaching and persistent practice, I developed my own style and technique in watercolour painting. This passion led to the creation of Jess Keeli Creative, where I share my artwork inspired by Australian flora and fauna.

 Recognizing the different challenges many people face when starting with watercolours, I established Jess Keeli Academy. My mission is to guide and support aspiring artists, offering resources and courses designed to build confidence and skill in watercolour painting. No matter what you believe your creative abilities to be, Jess Keeli Academy is here to help you discover the joy and mindfulness that art can bring, and guide you along your watercolour journey to take you from stick figures to art you can be proud of.
